According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, a section of I-96 near Lansing will be closed temporarily on Saturday morning. (7/21/18) Officials will be briefly closing both directions of I-96 at College Road in Lansing Saturday morning to allow Comcast to install utility wires.

Officials with MDOT say that the freeway should be closed for up to three hours and will start at approximately 6am. Officials say that the expected end time is at 9am. Michigan State Police (MSP) will be on scene to provide additional traffic control. Officials say that they are closing the highway to ensure the safety of the utility workers and motorists.
