This year will be the 4th year that the community of Holt has hosted a 9-11 Hero Run. The 5k is dedicated to the first responders and service members that gave their lives on September 11, 2001. This year's event will be held on Friday, September 11th and will start in the Memorial Gardens in Holt. Participants will also go through the bays of the Delhi Fire Department on Aurelius Road in Holt. Keep in mind that if you don't want to run, you can certainly be a spectator. Last year’s event had over 350 participants in the 5K run/walk, and over 200 people came out just to watch!

Here are a few things you need to know to participate in the 5k run/walk:

  • It's not too late to register--BUT--today is the last day to get registered--you can get the form you need to sign up by clicking here.
  • The event will start at 6:30.
  • The cost to participate in the race is $30.
  • All proceeds of the event will go to several charities selected by the American Legion, The Delhi Fire Department, and the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office. Those charities include Great Lakes Burn Camp, Operation Homefront, and Small Talk Children’s Assessment Center.
