High Wind Advisory Issued For The Lansing Area

It's gonna be another windy day for the Lansing area today. The National Weather Service has issued a HIGH WIND ADVISORY in effect until from 9am unitl 6pm tonight. According to the NWS, we'll see and/or feel winds reaching near 55 miles per hour today. Scattered power outages are very possible today and the National Weather Service adds that numerous power outages are possible. Officials warn that residents should be on the lookout for downed tree branches are power lines and flying trash cans.

Counties included in the advisory include: Allegan; Barry; Calhoun; Clinton; Eaton; Gratiot; Ingham; Ionia; Isabella; Jackson; Kalamazoo; Kent; Mecosta; Montcalm; Ottawa and Van Buren. Click here to see the detailed forecast from the National Weather Service.
