Fans of the U.P. will be happy to know, according to WILX-TV, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in the Upper Peninsula will be featured on one of the designs for the 2018 America the Beautiful Quarters Program.

In 2010, the U.S. Mint started saluting national parks and important natural sites in America with the program. So, this isn't really a new "state" quarter, but it IS a nice salute to the U.P.

The coin featuring Pictured Rocks will be #41 in the series.

Here's the story, with an illustration of the design.
