You'll probably want to gas up your vehicle as soon as you read this.

The Lansing area (and the nation at large) is starting to see gas prices surge due to Hurricane Harvey. According to USA Today, "U.S. motorists are likely to experience an increase of up to 25 cents per gallon in some areas" because gasoline refineries in the Texas Gulf Coast are being affected.

The GasBuddy app/website gets info from users to track the prices of gas at stations all over. Since it's just a half mile from the station, I set out to the Speedway at the corner of Jolly and Dunckel, where just two hours ago GasBuddy had gas listed at $2.33 a gallon... that price is now $2.65 a gallon. Click here to visit the GasBuddy website to see gas prices near you. Plus, the app is free, so not a bad idea to download it on your smart phone either!
