First rabies case reported in Lansing area

According to WILX.com, Ingham County has had it's first reported case of rabies in 2017. A big brown bat recently tested positive for the disease. According to state authorities, bats and skunks are the most common carriers of rabies in Michigan.

Here's a map of where rabies was found in Michigan in 2016.
