Tavern 109 located at 115 East Grand River Avenue in Williamston closed down on Saturday after a fire took place there around 8 a.m.

According to WILX-TV, the culprit of the blaze at the one time National Bank Building was an electrical fire that started in a wall.

There was an employee working at the time that the fire started. However, the good news is that nobody was hurt. The restaurant owners are working to get the issue that started the fire corrected so that they may reopen soon.
