East Lansing’s Nate Silver wants to help you out this Halloween

Former East Lansing High School graduate and world famous stats guru Nate Silver runs a website called FiveThirtyEight.com. They deal mostly with sports and politics, but recently they dove into the controversial world of Halloween candy - specifically - which Halloween candy is the most popular?

And because I don't want your yard to get TP'ed - I offer the list of THE most popular candy, according to a carefully constructed survey.. Also included in this article - a statistical analysis of what makes some Halloween candy more popular than others..

Couple of things to be learned from this list: you can't go wrong with any candy in the  "Reese's Peanut Butter" universe. And don't hand out Good & Plenty. That's LAST on the list.

And if you run out of candy, better be well stocked with something more than nickels and dimes. Quarters barely made the top 50 of treats.
