The East Lansing Public Library is finally ready to re-open!

The ELPL has been closed since August 26th to complete renovations. During that time, new furniture, shelves, and other library materials were brought in. According to the State News, some structural and safety work was included in the renovations as well. After everything's been said and done, the total cost of the upgrade was $1.7 million, which was covered by an anonymous donation made in spring 2015.

The grand opening is Saturday, October 1st at noon. See more details about all the cool new stuff at the library HERE.
