East Lansing Middle Student Brings Knives & Clown Mask To School

This clown thing is getting way out of hand...

Earlier today a 12-year-old girl brought a clown mask and two knives to East Lansing's MacDonald Middle School. According to the East Lansing Info website, police responded to calls about the student wearing the mask and running around scaring other students. When police got to the school, they searched the girls backpack and that's when they found the two large knives. Police also learned that the girl was using the knives and the mask to scare students at the bus stop earlier.

Lt. Scott Wrigglesworth said he doesn't think the girl was threatening to anyone, only trying to scare them. After the incident, the school administration and the East Lansing Police Department interviewed the girl with her parents present, and they "took appropriate action".
