It's time to sharpen up those skates!

According to the Lansing State Journal, a pop-up ice skating rink will be returning to East Lansing this weekend! The pop-up rink is open to the community and offers up FREE family fun! All you need to bring is yourself and a pair of skates!

The rink is 52' X 72' and can hold about 30 skaters at a time. And there are some rules:

  • Skate at your own risk.
  • No food or beverage is allowed on the ice skating rink.
  • No person is permitted on the ice without skates.
  • Children under 12 years of age require adult supervision.
  • Recreational skating only.
  • No hockey, curling, or other activities allowed.
  • In case of emergency, call 911.

You can find the rink at Valley Court Park on the west side of East Lansing. The rink is open to skaters daily from noon to 9 pm. The rink should be open until the end of February, weather permitting. Click here for more info.
