The times, they are a changing.

According to MLive, East Lansing area country club and golf course, Walnut Hills, will be closing its doors permanently. The owners of the 97-year-old country club, Summer Park Realty, are currently in a legal battle with the township over rezoning issues. Summer Park wanted to rezone the area for housing development, but Meridian Township denied the request. And "if a settlement in the lawsuit isn't reached... the rezoning dispute will go to trial.

In the mean time, "assets from the country club will be auctioned online on Tuesday, March 27th." Bidding is open to anyone from 8 am to 6 pm at this website: Orbitbid.com
