If you drive your car or truck with your dog on your lap, enjoy it now, because in the future, it might mean a $100 fine.

A bill, now making it's way through the Michigan house, would make driving with your dog on your lap illegal. According to MLive.com, House Bill 5277 states that "An individual shall not operate a motor vehicle while a dog is sitting in his or her lap," unless the dog is there for a medical purpose under the Americans with Disabilities act.

Does this mean driving with your cat on your lap will be legal? What about snakes?
