Detroit’s Matthew Stafford Was a Busy Guy Last Season
Matthew Stafford, the Detroit Lions QB, had a pretty good season last year. The team went 9-7, finished the season by beating both the hated Bears and Packers (unless you're reading this in 'da U.P.) and had their second consecutive winning season. And, right before the end of the season, on Christmas morning, Matthew's wife Kelly told him she was pregnant. Yesterday, they announced it to everybody on Instagram. Last March, the Staffords had twin daughters. Apparently, the new baby will be here sometime in July or August.
Congratulations to both. And nicely done, Matthew. Practice with your NFL team is always a good excuse for getting out of changing diapers.
Here's the announcement:
Well it’s too tough to keep this secret any longer. We thought we had a plan until I found out a few days before Christmas, that God had a different one. I enjoyed getting to surprise Matthew on Christmas morning with some news he was for sure not expecting. We are excited to announce that we will be adding another baby to the family! #halfwaythere #20weeks #trainingcampbaby #staffordpartyof5 #3babiesunder17months 💙💖
