Detroit Lions’ Jim Bob Cooter – There because of hard work and video football games
In the early part of this century, the Detroit Lions' offensive coordinator, Jim Bob Cooter, learned the art of coaching football partly by playing "Techmo Super Bowl" on his Nintendo, in his dorm room at the University of Tennessee. According to ESPN, Jim Bob was a walk on QB at Tennessee and learned a lot by watching HIS coaches, but may have learned the art of calling plays by playing video football games.
So, yeah - you could probably totally coach in the NFL.
