Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, is one of the richest cities in the world. Yes, they export a lot of oil, but surprisingly, they make a lot more more money overall through banking, shipping and technology. And because they've got more money than they know what to do with, they have two "Fire and Rescue" Chevy Corvettes.  You read that right. Corvettes that operate as 200MPH "firetrucks". With two more on the way.

According to Jalopnik.com, somebody from the Dubai Civil Defense Station told them at least one of the Corvettes, "had been used in previous emergencies along the emirate’s busy highways as it reach emergency sites faster than the traditional, heavy fire trucks.” These cars aren't just the captain's ride, they've been heavily modified to carry fire gear in the trunk. Seriously - there's a fire hose in the trunk.

And that's not all. Some of the ambulances used in Dubai are Dodge Challengers and Ford Mustangs. I know. I have questions, too.
