Dale Earnhardt Jr. Announces Details For A Throwback Paint Scheme
NASCAR heads to Darlington for the next race on Sunday, September 6th and that is when Dale Jr. fans will see a special 'throwback' paint scheme on the track. According to NASCAR.com, Dale Earnhardt Jr. will pay homage to Cale Yarborough will the special paint scheme. The #88 Chevrolet will feature a paint scheme reminiscent of the old Valvoline look run by Yarborough in 1981-82. It will also honor others who ran the familiar paint scheme such as Buddy Baker and Neil Bonnett.
The #88 won't be the only 'throwback' that you'll see on the track at Darlington. Since the race is being moved back to Labor Day weekend, there will be several vehicles taking part in the 'throwback' celebration. To see all the special paint schemes for Darlington, CLICK HERE.
