"Don't drink and drive", "Enjoy responsibly", "Be sure to have a designated driver", "Buzzed driving is drunk driving". Good words to live by that could save your life, and the lives of others.

To help better make sure that people arrive alive, the Michigan State Police will be paying special attention to those who might be driving impaired from now through November 4th. According to Fox 47 News, the crackdown will be happening in counties that have a high number of crashes that involved drugs and alcohol where people lost their lives.

Why now? Because there is a really high rate of alcohol and drug-related crashes during the month of October so law enforcement officials will be beefing up their efforts to reduce impaired drivers and driving.
