Here's some good news for fans of the popular Cops & Doughnuts in Claire, Michigan. The bakery has announced plans to open a location in the Lansing area later this year. According to the Lansing State Journal, the Delta Township location will be the bakery's seventh location, and first franchise. Retired Lansing Police Department detective Michelle Bryant and her business partner Heidi Williams, technology and information supervisor for the East Lansing Police Department, will be at the helm of the new location.

The new Cops & Doughnuts Capital Precinct will be located at what used to be Coffee Jam, which is just off Creyts Road on Centurion Drive. (At 6427 Centurion Drive near Creyts and 496.) According to the Cops & Doughnuts-Clare City Bakery Facebook page, they hope to open the second week in May to coincide with National Police Week.
