This morning, Michigan International Speedway president Roger Curtis announced that 150 feet of temporary wall would be added to the outside pit road wall, going towards turn 4. This is believed to be in response to wrecks like the one Kasey Kahne was involved in at Pocono and, going back a few years, the one Mark Martin was involved in at M.I.S. in 2012. Plus, it was also announced that M.I.S will add 7500 linear feet of SAFER barrier to the front and back stretch outside walls in the off season.
