David West is the new Vice-President of Travel Michigan. That means he's in charge of the "Pure Michigan" radio and TV marketing campaign. That campaign has consistently won awards. for the past ten years, as a model of state tourism marketing. But now, according to an interview from MLive.com, there's rumblings of changing the music that plays under Tim Allen's voice on those TV and radio spots. The music is from the score of the 1999 movie "The Cider House Rules". David says it's, "beautiful, very emotional music, but try to do that and show a nightlife scene".

Personally, I hope they don't get rid of the "Cider House Rules" music all together. That music and Tim Allen's voice match perfectly, but I also understand - time marches on.
