So, that Central Michigan/Oklahoma State game over the weekend had a heck of a crazy finish, huh? It was so crazy, that the officiating crew and the instant replay team that worked the game got suspended.

If you missed it, here's what happened...The eight MAC officials misinterpreted a rule that ended up extended the game when it should have been over and that allowed the Chippewas to score a touchdown on a hail mary and lateral for a 30-27 upset win over Oklahoma State.

Oops.

According to USA Today, Big 12 coordinator of officials, Walt Anderson, said in a statement:  "The crew missed an opportunity to advise the MAC officiating crew of the misapplication of the penalty giving CMU an untimed down that resulted in its game-winning touchdown. NCAA rules permit instant replay to correct egregious errors and it is unacceptable that it did not occur in this situation.  Additionally, this replay crew will not be eligible for assignment to an end-of-season bowl game."
