“Celebrate Michigan” Photo Contest Gets Underway

If you've got some good photos from your travels around Michigan, you may want to submit them to the 9th Annual "Celebrate Michigan" Photo Contest, being run by the Detroit News. The contest runs all summer, with four photos chosen every week as finalists. If you win the contest, you'll get a two night stay for four at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.

Already, one of the first four finalists is a guy from Lansing who submitted a cool photo of the capitol building.

You have to be an amateur photographer and over 18 years old to enter.
