Let me start by saying that I think this "research" done by Cambridge University is ridiculous. Here's the story: the researchers claim that if you take a regular nap, you may be taking your life in your hands. It seems that they tracked the sleeping habits of about 16,000 men and women in their 90's over 13 years. During that time, about 3,000 of the participants died. Did you catch that? The "research" was performed on people in their 90's!! Umm...hello...they may have been sleeping to start with...

But wait, there's more: The researchers say that they learned that compared to non-nappers the risk of premature death went up 14 percent among those who napped less than an hour a day and rose by 32 percent when people took an afternoon siesta lasting more than 60 minutes. The study goes on to say that napping can cause inflammation in the body, leading to certain lung diseases, including bronchitis, emphysema and pneumonia.

So kids, here's what we've learned. 1.) People in their 90's die. (sorry) 2.) Taking a nap causes bronchitis and other illnesses. (whatever) 3.) I believe that they are full of malarkey and I will be taking a nap today. (true story)
