The list gets longer everyday: Twin Peaks, Hawaii Five-O, The X-Files, MacGyver. Old TV shows being remade. Add one more: Magnum, p.i (true fans know the "p.i" part of the title is NOT capitalized)

You read that right. According to Rolling Stone, a remake of Magnum,p.i is in the works. And NOT with Tom Selleck in the title role. We don't have a cast yet or a premiere date yet, but we do know that the TC and Rick characters will be back, but Higgins will now be a former British MI:6 agent. A female agent (will they be able to make her as big a pain as the original Higgins?) And Thomas will be a former Navy SEAL who has just returned from Afghanistan.

I'm hesitant. I was a huge fan of Magnum in the 80s.

Dear CBS: I'll give it a chance, but you're playing with fire here. At least let Tom Selleck make a guest appearance.

You know who may be really excited about this? The 45 guys dressed like Magnum for a bachelor party who got kicked out of the Tigers game, in Detroit, in September.
