Police in Van Buren County are looking for some blueberry thieves. Officials say that over 1,500 pounds of blueberries were stolen on Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning from an unlocked building from Hodgman Blueberry Plantation which is located in Geneva Township.

According to WOOD-TV, 87 green blueberry containers, each containing around 18 pounds of “blue crop” variety berries, were stolen. The containers are marked on each side with “Michigan Blueberry Growers Association” with a blueberry symbol. Officials say the stolen blueberries are valued at about $2,700. Anyone with information is asked to call the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office at 269-657-3101.
