You might want to hold off swimming in Lake Michigan (or Lake Huron) until tomorrow. Or this weekend. Today, the waves will be up to 6 feet high at some of the beaches. And that's not as fun as some people think. In fact, according to MLive.com, "the wave size today is the size considered most dangerous for swimming". That's because, if they were any bigger, most people wouldn't even attempt to swim. But at 3-6 foot wave height, just enough people will give it a shot - and some will get into trouble.

So, instead of hitting the water today, go see a movie. "The Shallows" is a nice, relaxing beach movie. You'll love it.
