Best meteor shower of the year in Michigan? This weekend!
The Geminids are coming this weekend. That means a great airshow on Friday night into Saturday morning. All you have to do is look up, toward the northeast, between 7PM and midnight. According to mlive.com, it will continue on Saturday and Sunday night, but our weather may not cooperate on those nights here in Michigan. Why is this the best meteor shower of the year? Because the moon will not be rising until 11PM on Friday (making it very dark) and the earth will be traveling right through the middle of the debris field that spawns the meteors for this shower.
