Fairy doors are quite the popular thing in the UK. Fairy doors are put in tree trunks to allow children to leave messages for their local elves and fairies.

Are there any in Mid-Michigan? I've never seen any, but maybe you're way ahead of everybody and already have them installed on your trees.

Here's the story showing the fairy doors of Wayford Woods in the UK. The rules are - no plywood, one door to a tree - and please - let's avoid the "tinsel and glittery stuff" on ours.

In addition to fairy doors - I've been told by the lovely Mrs. Banana that we WILL have "fairy gardens" made from broken pottery at our house this spring.
