Banana Don’s Slice of Americana – Going Bowling

Athlon Sports - they're the people who put out all those pre-season magazines for college and pro football and basketball - have come up with a list of the "must see" football bowl games.

Here are their Top Three:

1. BCS Championship Game - January 6th at 8:30   No. 1 Florida State vs No. 2 Auburn

2. The Orange Bowl - January 3rd at 8PM  THE Ohio State University vs Clemson

3. The Rose Bowl (100th Anniversary) January 1st at 5PM   Michigan State vs Stanford

And Stewart Mandel from Sports Illustrated has the Rose Bowl as his Number 2 and the Orange Bowl as his Number 3.

I knew you'd ask, so - Athlon has Michigan vs Kansas State in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl (Dec 28th at 10:15) as their Number 20 (out of 35)

And because I knew you'd ask this - dead last place goes to the Armed Forces Bowl, with Navy vs Middle Tennessee State Univ. 

Which just barely beats out the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.
