Awesome New Navy Ship Will Have Lasers – Commanded By Captain Kirk

The USS Zumwalt was christened last Saturday. It's the first US Navy STEALTH destroyer. It's 610 feet long and 80 feet wide, but on on radar - it will look like a fishing boat. In the not too distant future, the Zumwalt will have a laser weapon system and a railgun weapon system to launch missiles.

And the commanding officer of the USS Zumwalt? Captain James Kirk.

Really. He even got a letter from William Shatner to congratulate him.
