Back in March of 2017, demolition crews began tearing down nearly 80 mobile homes in the Life O' Riley Mobile Home Park near Washington and Edgewood in South Lansing. According to old reports from WILX, the mobile home park was condemned in 2014 because of health and safety code violations. Nearly 140 residents were given 10 days to gather their belongings and leave Life O'Riley before the park was permanently closed. Over the last couple of years, the property lot has been empty but that may soon be about to change.

Auction signs have been posted on the property for a couple of weeks, however, now there's a sign with some more specific information about the real estate auction. According to the sign posted at the former Life O'Riley Mobile Home Park, it looks like a real estate auction will be held on August 28th at 1pm to sell the 13.5 acres.
