Are you in the cold & dark too?

In my neighborhood power went out early Sunday morning (around 5:00am I think) and still isn't back on.  Was a long, chilly day at my house!  Thank goodness for cell phones...my lifeline!  I knew that I had a battery power radio somewhere, but finding it was the trick.  Finally did, then had to find those elusive batteries and flashlights!  My 2014 resolution is be better prepared...but all of these things in one place...and always have extra cat food tucked away (they aren't happy about being chilly, but they would ATTACK me if there wasn't sufficient food in the bowl)!  Hopefully the power will be back soon and it will be a warm Christmas for everyone!
