This is the FOURTH time that I've posted about this recall on our website and the reason I keep posting about it is because people are STILL getting sick from eating Kellogg's Honey Smacks cereal! The warnings from the Center For Disease Control and Prevention started back in June of 2018. At that time, the CDC recommended that people stop eating recalled Kellogg’s Honey Smacks cereal because it had been linked to a multistate outbreak of Salmonella infections. That recall involved 15.3 oz. and 23 oz. packages of Kellogg’s Honey Smacks cereal with a "best if used by” date from June 14, 2018 through June 14, 2019.

A week later, the CDC expanded the Honey Smacks cereal recall and advised consumers stop eating the cereal altogether regardless of size or "best if used by" dates. Then in mid-July, the CDC said that people were STILL eating the cereal and that the cereal salmonella outbreak had infected 100 people in 33 states. (At that time, four people had been infected in Michigan.)

And NOW,  the CDC has come out with yet ANOTHER warning for people to stop eating ANY Kellogg's Honey Smacks cereal because more people have gotten sick. The number of people affected is up to 130 and there have been new cases reported in Delaware, Minnesota and Main. Click here to see the latest from the CDC.
