If you recently took a trip out west to go mule deer hunting and you seem to have "lost" your mule deer, I have good news - somebody found it, on the side of the road, just south of Vermontville.

According to the Lansing State Journal, the deer was field dressed and the antlers had been removed. The DNR had to have it tested for CWD, but it tested negative.

There are no native populations of mule deer in Michigan and no mule deer in private herds. The closest wild mule deer may be in Wisconsin.

And, I don't understand why you would go to the trouble of field dressing and hauling a deer that far just to dump it on a road like that. Weird.
