Sometime in the future, I'll be sitting on my porch telling a grandkid the following story:

"I'll never forget the day in 2018 when they announced that Navy F-18 pilots, off the east coast of the United States, had tracked something in 2015 with their infrared weapons tracking system. Something that was so fast they had trouble tracking it. Wait. I'll show you the video on my iPhone 25. Don't tell your grandmother about the four letter word you're about to hear. These are trained military pilots in an F-18 - not two guys on a sightseeing flight in a Cessna."
