A Major Road Construction Project In The Lansing Area Starts On Monday
The Ingham County Road Department has announced that they will start major road construction work on the Okemos Road and Jolly Road intersection on or about Monday, April 2nd. They are advising motorists that they should expect lane closures on Okemos Road starting early next week and that drivers should count on lots of congestion and delays in the area of the Okemos and Jolly Road intersection.
According to the Ingham County Road Department, once some temporary widening is complete, traffic will be shifted and restricted to 2 way - 2 lane traffic in all directions (only one lane in each direction). When this happens, ALL INTERSECTION TURNS WILL BE PROHIBITED. It can be a bit confusing so they have made several maps to help drivers navigate the construction:
