I thought the story about the 19-year-old from Williamston giving his lottery winnings to his parents was my favorite lottery story of the week...but after seeing this story, now I'm not so sure...

According to the Michigan Lottery, a 94-year-old man from South Branch got some scratch-off tickets from his daughter-in-law for his 94th birthday on March 17th and one of those tickets turned out to be a big winner. The Double Bonus Cashword instant game ticket was worth $300,000! Ervin Smolinski is a World War II vet who has been buying lottery tickets for family members for their birthday gifts for quite awhile and now he's the big winner.
