51 Years Ago This Week – UFOs Were Like Fireflies All Over the Michigan Sky
According to ClickOnDetroit, it was 51 years ago this week that a rash of UFO sightings occurred all over southern Michigan. Not only did one UFO reportedly visit northern Ohio and land northeast of Ann Arbor in Washtenaw County (in front of 12 policemen), but the next night, one UFO was seen by 80 students hovering near Hillsdale College.
The official U.S. Air Force explanation of these events was that everybody was just seeing "swamp gas".
Later that year, 1966, the Michigan State football team beat both Ohio State and Michigan and went on to be named co-national champions with Notre Dame - who they had battled to a 10-10 tie in the "Game of the Century". Just what was in that "swamp gas" in Ohio and Ann Arbor?
They don't call them "little GREEN men" for nothing.
