Randy Houser is coming to Taste of Country-Lansing (presented by your neighborhood Michigan Ford dealers) Friday, June 9th at Cooley Law School Stadium. Also performing at TOC-Lansing will be Michael Ray, with other performers to be named soon - including the headline act. To find out more about tickets go to TOCLansing.com.

Randy Houser has had a string of hit songs from "Boots On" in 2009 to the recent hit, "We Went". And, while you may know "Like a Cowboy" was nominated in the "Song of the Year" category at the 2015 CMA Awards, you may NOT know these 5 facts about Randy:

#5 - His real first name is Shawn. His MIDDLE name is Randolph.

#4 - He's from the small town of Lake, Mississippi, right outside Meridian, MS - the birthplace of Jimmie Rodgers - the "Father of Country Music".

#3 - In college he had a band called "10 Pound Biscuit".

#2 - Randy got married in May to Aussie Tatiana Starzynski, whose sister is married to Randy's friend and sometimes co-writer, Dallas Davidson.

And #1 - While watching somebody dance at a club, Randy, Jamey Johnston and Dallas Davidson wrote the song "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk", which became a huge hit for Trace Adkins in 2005. The song took about an hour to write. It was Randy that came up with the term "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk". Thank you Randy Houser.

See you at Taste of Country!
