5 Things I Didn’t Know About Canaan Smith

If you haven't been living on Mars the last six months, then you are certainly aware that "Taste of Country", our big Summer concert extravaganza is coming to Cooley Law School Stadium on Saturday, June 13th. Get your tickets here.

While we all know about the concert, there may be a few things that you don't know about one of the stars of the show, newcomer Canaan Smith.

In fact I believe there may be exactly 5 things that you don't know about Canaan. What I actually found out is that there are 6 things I didn't know, and as a public service, I'm presenting them to you here:

1) He was born in Williamsburg, Virginia. Williamsburg is also the hometown of singer Bruce Hornsby (I played a few of his songs back in the day when I was a Top 40 DJ) and former New York Giants linebacker, Lawrence Taylor.

2) His middle name is Lee.

3) His record producer is Brett Beavers, who has also produced albums for the star of "Taste of Country", Dierks Bentley.

4) He co-wrote the Love and Theft top ten hit. “Runaway”.

5) He's 32 years old, born August 24, 1982.

6) He was a contestant on the reality television show, "The Amazing Race".

There you have it...6 things I didn't know, that maybe you didn't know, that now we both know, about Canaan Smith.
